TechSoft Thermoforming Reflector for users of TechSoft Thermoforming Machines

When forming transparent plastics sheet material, much of the heat energy (in the form of infra-red light) will be transmitted through the material. By placing a reflector after the transparent plastics sheet material while heating, the radiant heat energy is reflected back and absorbed by the plastics mass.

TechSoft PVAC material in particular, but as well as the other TechSoft transparent plastics sheet materials, will benefit from the use of the Thermoforming Reflector with reduced heating times and better thermoformed definition.

The use of this TechSoft innovation presents an excellent opportunity to demonstrate the use of optics in conserving energy.

The TechSoft Thermoforming Reflector is made from polished stainless steel in our usual robust form of construction and comes complete with a heat resisting handle.

When the reflector is in use, the heated sheet can still be observed which is of course, a major learning opportunity not available with machines designed on the industrial models that are now being imported from overseas and offered to schools at high prices.

The cost of the designed and made in New Zealand TechSoft Thermoforming Reflector is $24 plus freight and GST.

If you are using TechSoft transparent material on your TechSoft Thermoformer you should have one, they really work! Just fax your order to us at the number below and we'll do the rest.

Injection Mould Aids

TechSoft Injection Mould Aids are designed and made to facilitate users of TechSoft Injection Moulding machines produce simple and durable moulds without the need for precision machining operations. They are made from steel.

Plain Insert

The plain insert consists of a short right solid cylinder, precision machined on all faces, to fit into the cavity of the appropriate mould bolster. This insert is designed to facilitate the construction of mould impressions not otherwise practical in a single mould. Such mouldings as spheres, cameo and intaglio relief are practical using this insert, singularly, in pairs or in combination with other types of insert. This insert is available to suit the 28mm and 40mm diameter mould bolster.

Spigotted Insert

The spigotted insert consists of two concentric right solid cylinders. The smaller cylinder is precision machined to fit into the appropriate mould bolster. The larger cylinder is precision machined to fit into the mould cavity. A working mould is made simply by working the top face of the insert. This can be done using hand-tools, such as rotary burrs ("Dremmel") or small machine tools such as drilling machines or lathes. They are available for the 28mm and 40mm diameter mould bolster.

Sprue Plate

This consists of a combined backplate and sprue channel. It is designed to be customised and replace the sprue plate supplied as original equipment.

Blank Sprue Plate

This is identical to the Sprue Plate except that the sprue channel is omitted. It is designed to facilitate edge gating of moulds.

Injection Moulding Purging Tool

TechSoft Injection Moulding Purging Tool is an education-safe fluid product designed to facilitate purging unwanted plastics material from the injection cylinder of TechSoft Injection Moulding Machines.

Hollow Punches

TechSoft Hollow Punches

TechSoft Hollow Punches have been developed in response to the demand for a safe, affordable, convenient and simple method of forming accurate apertures in a range of thin gauge ductile materials.

Hollow punches are not new, they have been used by craft workers for centuries. Typically, leather workers have used hollow punches in the size range of up to 6mm diameter. Engineers hollow, or wad, punches are available up to 80mm diameter.

What has been missing in the market is a range of basic shapes, such as round, triangular and square in a convenient size. TechSoft research shows this convenient size to be 10mm.

TechSoft Hollow Punches are supplied in a set of 3 punches, one each of 10mm diameter circle, 10mm sided triangle and 10mm sided square, complete with two tough rods for ejecting the punched piece, or wad.

The punches are an ideal companion to the TechSoft Hotplate System.

Folding Jig

TechSoft Folding Jig

The Folding Jig is used to make folding operations easier for paper and when using the plastics sheet heat bender. It is designed to use our standard plastics sheet size. It has been designed with primary schools in mind where workshop facilities are not usually available.
